Woodworm

Woodworm is the term used to cover a variety of wood boring insects that lay there eggs in and on timber. Their lava feed on and bore throughout the wood damaging and weakening the structure. The fully grown lava pupates within the timber and emerges as an adult whereupon the life cycles is repeated and with each succeeding generation the infestation increases and spreads through the surrounding timbers. 75% of all woodworm damage is attributable to attack by the common furniture beetle ( Anobium Puntatum ), although damage by other species such as death watch beetle ( Xestobium Rufovillosum ), and house longhorn beetle ( Hyloptrupes Bajulus ) amongst others is often severe where found. BWT's trained surveyors and technicians are experienced in the insecticidal treatment and if necessary replacements to provide full and comprehensive eradication and protection for 30 years guaranteed.
